I spent a few hours pinning on pinterest, but then when I search for my tags in the search nothing comes up. I think I am ghosted I think its pretty annoying, because they don't say what the limits are so I was just guessing. If I am ghosted do I need a new IP or can I just make a new account?
How do I know if I've been ghosted on pinterest.

of course they are not going to tell you what the limits are.
anyways, your best option is to just get a new ip.
were you doing this manually?
pinning for a few hours straight will definitely get your account messed up.
pinning too fast might be what screws your account up.
i used to pin manually really fast for a method i was doing, but no followers would fly in like they normally would so i might have been ghosted. dont know though. i need to do some more tests.

I think pinterest use some method to delay your items to be visible in search. Because whenever I check images from my site using this parameter:
http://pinterest.com/source/mysites.com/
It shows me only few images but not the latest one.

Today I got an account ghosted on pinterest. My bot went out of control and it pinned more than 300 post in 24h period.
The interesting thing is that is not the account being ghosted, but the IP address. If I pin something from the usual IP address the pin doesn't increment my pins count. if I do from another IP address, with the same account, it does.
The likes and the follows I do are still counted, only the pins doesn't.
So I think another function I need to implement is pin limit per IP address.
Now I put the bot on stand-by, waiting for get my account de-ghosted. I think (hope) it will happen when my 24h pin stats goes back under 300.

yes, it happens on other social nets.
ghosting is when your posts appear to be normal, but only to you, meaning other users cant see your activity.
its kind of like a trick.
anyways, 300 pins in 24 hours is not even that much.

The "ghost" lasted on my account for about 4 hours, then (at 18 pm GMT+1) the pin count started to increment again.
I've read somewhere here on BHW that the limits to not be ghosted was 300 pins/day, yesterday my bot reached 345 pins in 24h before being ghosted.
Now I've set some limits, 70 follow/24h and 140 likes and repins/24h.

I am running my pinterest software on a brand new account to see if I can answer this question. I just found out my mega accounts are being ghosted in search and categories, so I'll chime back in with an answer to this asap.
