Is there a way I can make a link that goes to one site, show a different url at the bottom of the browser when you hover over the link?

Use a link cloaker. You can probably find a free one on here. Try to search here for link cloaker or google it. If you don't get a cloaker I'm sure someone here can give you a code to use. A lot of times you can hide it with frames.

I think what he means is to have his affiliate link in the page, but have it actually show up as a non-affiliate link in the status bar. For example, have this eBay affiliate link display only hxxp://www.ebay.com in the status bar.

If that's indeed what he means, I don't think there is a way to do it.

    You mean like this?
    <a onmouseover="window.status='yoursite.com';return true" onmouseout="window.status='';return true" target="_blank" href="youraffiliateurl.com">Anchor Text</a>

Right click will show your real link on status bar, anyway

Well I wouldn't care about the right link, most people wouldn't know or care.
But it's not working. I'm trying this on Craigslist. No matter what, if you enter that, they revert the code to standard html and my link. I assume they dont' allow any javascript?

Here is the program that I use. affiliate link cloaker but you have to have a host to host the file on. I used it before and it worked great. I don't have a cracked copy though. Sorry.
