A few months ago, my YouTube channel was demonetized for reuse content. I admit that back then, I was uploading videos without my own voice. I used to summarize around 20 episodes in 10 minutes, adding background music and using the original voices of the serial’s characters. I gained 50k Subs and have 20M views

When my channel got demonetized, I panicked and deleted all my videos (which I now realize was a mistake I was too tense and frustrated at that time).

Now, I want to restart and upload videos again, but this time I’ll add my own voice narration, explaining the series or serial in my own words.

Do you have any tips for this? How can I avoid copyright issues? Because I’ve noticed some channels upload full clips of serials with their own voiceovers and they don’t seem to get copyright strikes. I want to do something similar now ,any suggestions?

Adding your own voice is the right move because YouTube looks for originality in content, not just reused clips. Keep your narration unique and avoid long unedited segments, and you’ll have a much better chance at re-monetization without copyright issues.

if you add your own voice, make the content more of a review or commentary style instead of just re-uploading clips. keep clips short, transform them with edits, and focus on your explanation so it’s clearly your original work. that way it falls closer to fair use and avoids copyright issues.

use short clips only, focus on adding your own narration and commentary so it’s clearly transformative. avoid uploading full scenes, mix visuals with your explanations, and always make your voice the main value. this reduces copyright risk and makes monetization more likely.

Add your voice and commentary to make the video original, avoid reposting the entire clip.

When you add your own vo and unique script like commentary...it becomes of transformational value, however when you use original video with og audio, make sure you use it for max 10-13 seconds, then again continue with your vo , so you can do this time to time, if you want a mix of og audio without having issues of de-monetizations.
