How do i get over the hump?

Hi guys,
I am new to this forum and would like to ask you about some advise.

I started IM a few months back, but then got distracted by my other business that brings enough cash to have a very good lifestyle, but I want to slowly get away from it.

Now, back to IM.

I have about 10 mini sites, yet they generate only $10 / day in total. Not impressive!
The only good part is that I haven't touched them for months, but pennies are dropping to my bank account.
Now I want thousands to be dropping the same way

Ok, so here is what bugs me.
Only 1 of the sites brings about 80-90% of revenue (from AdSense), others are just dropping some cents, so scaling is not easy, as new sites just don't bring the same result, as the main keywords are not as attractive (don't have the same traffic).

I don't acquire email lists (well, i don't offer any freebies to signup the readers) and don't use email. Do you?

Also i don't rely on repetitive readers much as honestly some of my blogs are simple news aggregation designed for adsense - I am not too good at writing and don't see hiring writers feasible yet.

The disapointment is that one of my sites is on #1/2/3 positions on 5 major legal keywords which accordingly to Goog suppose to be priced at $60+/click. But no such liuck, Goog serves all sort of garbage ads, even thou the content is very law topic specific.

I optimize sites only for domain related keywords, and leave it at that, as SEO for other keywords seems too time consuming.

I have in total about 500/non uniques/day, may be 100 uniques.

I have not tried marketing affiliate offers yet. I think I have some "writer's block" there Not sure which one to pick... I signed up for CJ, Yeah and OnDemand networks thou... Now stuck at which offer to start from.

The reason might be because i tried marketing some of my own offers, but my landing pages don't convert well. I designed them in Wordpress. May be I should use some landing page builders instead?

If so, which one would you recommend?

I really don't life writing about something I don't believe in, but until i find a proven process i don't want to outsource.

you are getting a lot of repeat readers. you need to make a email list and possibly a members only area.
This type of traffic needs to be more than just an adsense site.
Maybe host your pics on shareapic for the sites so you get money for them. dunno.

Make the content more keyword specific to that $60 keyword. I had one site about plastic surgery, which would pay a few dollars per click. The $50+ click keyword was "city name plastic surgery." I changed the content, and now I occasionally get a higher pay.

Also go to Google and type in that $60 keyword, and make sure people are actually purchasing ads for it.

It is mix of the original content and auto content.

Well, how? My content is stuffed (well, not overstuffed) with keywords on which the site is optimized, that's why it ranks.

Well, how do i do it? I can see people are definitely selling it thou. Plenty of ads.

I think you can monetize it differently...I wouldn't try content lockers in this scenario but maybe throw in an opt-in form...with some cpa offers and etc

and any ideas on increasing per keyword payout? It really sucks that i don't get paid for what i've optimized.

Yeah, sounds like building a list could work well for you.
