The reason ebay's first class shipping is so expensive is because they give you the tracking number but how do i ship WITHOUT the tracking number so i can save money and lower my prices? the cheapest first class price is $1.68 (my items are only $2.99) so is their a website that i can print a shipping label without paying for the tracking number? now before you say "just make the buyers pay for shipping" i can't because then i wouldn't be the cheapest seller and probably wouldn't get any buyers.

From my experience on ebay the way you get cheaper shipping is buying selling in volume. More sales = less USPS shipping through the ebay site when you ship the label. I have not seen any option when shipping labels to not include the tracking number. I see the dilemma.

Its a catch 22 there because we want the convenience of doing it at home but the only way I know would be to actually go to the Post office and pay the postage there without tracking number but then AGAIN if you go in person, the rates are higher!

If you go directly from USPS website then you also do not get the discounts.

:-(

Most of the shipping companies provide a credit account ( if u send x number of shipment every month than u get xx% discount)
i am shipping my products through UPS and i get 51-65% discount on standard shipping rates...
i would recommend you to make a list of shipping companies and call them for a quote ...

I just want to state here that I love the USPS.

I Love The USPS.

Faster and cheaper than UPS by 3(if I remember correctly from ebay).

I Love The USPS.

To get cheaper shipping, do what Rockefeller did, make deals that violate trade law and buy transportation companies.

You basically have to just put stamps on the package, instead of tracking.

You have to weigh the cost of tracking each package vs. the cost of regular posts + replacements when people claim to not get them in INR disputes. Tracking automatically wins that case.

To get cheaper rates with the USPS, you have to send a ton of mail.

You can get a meter from pitney bowes that will print the postage cost onto a label, without tracking.
pitneyworks.com
It will print a digital stamp, with whatever value you need.

I ship USPS click-n-ship, no charge for tracking, boxes or front door pick-up.UPS provides free labels. My product shipping is about $2 shy of a $10 product...
