How do i get backlinks to the website

Hi everyone i am new to the forum, i just recently created a website and now i need to get some backlinks to it so it could show up on top of the google search. I kind of know what backlinks are but how exactly do you get them? also please name few good wordpress plugins i can use thank you....

want backlinks then invest for 100$ buy some tool

You're about to get flamed by a lot of people for asking this question, so I'll save you the time.

Use the search button. This forum is a goldmine if you can use some common sense and search with the right keywords. try "backlink building" or "backlinks". Those are just examples and I didn't try them, but hopefully you get the idea. Yes, its true if you don't become a Donner you can't get the website link in the signature. but Back links are not everything. you will get enough knowledge. Remember it.
