How do I get backlinks for a new site

I see many sites that sell on Flippa have hundreds of backlinks and the sites are only a few days old. What is the best way to get these backlinks?

I cant tell you how to get THOSE back links but i can tell you what i think about back links in general. I personally think the best way to get back links is to have quality content. Me personally, i would rather have a few quality back links relevant to the content of my site, than thousands of non relevant back links. idk if you care about Bing or other SE's (i only care about google). After the last Google updates, it seems to me, google is working harder and harder to find ways to to detect artificial back link campaigns. It maybe a lot harder to create the type of content other people will find so good they give a do follow back link BUT it can be done.

Just my personal opinion on the the subject on back links.

Write quality and original content and submit it to article directories. Make Social networking accounts and link them to your site. Update your site daily. Comment on other sites in the same niche.
