How Do I Find Out What I Did Wrong?

Well one of my sites hit 1,000 visitors a day. It just kept going up for 3 days or so. My server went down for a few hours since I had to reboot apache not sure what happened but it fucked up. So basically now my traffic is slowly declining everyday by hundreds. It's dropping out of the sky and most of my traffic doesn't even come from the homepage in search engines, most of it from my 12,000 pages of user submitted content. It was going up while I had a content locker on all pages to make some money (my users provide stuff worth unlocking, not just text). I changed the wording a bit making it more clear you'd be able to download what you're looking for after completing rather than just unlocking the page, seems like it was around the time of the drop.

Should I pray it comes back up?

Having traffic come from thousands of keywords is a lot more reliable then just your homepage. Ever herd the expression: Don't put all your eggs in one basket?

It does all come from thousands of keywords, that's what I was saying. Barely any of the people come directly to my homepage. They come through posts on my forums that users make that are searched for.
