How do I find affiliates?

Hello all,

I work with a few dozen brands and I'm constantly on the hunt to find affiliates. Currently, we have almost all of the brands I work with on the Shareasale affiliate platform.

We find our affiliates by going on google and reaching out to websites that are in the brand's specific niche.

Is there a better way to find affiliates?

We are in a similar situation.... Right now I am getting good success with this method:

Buy 5 Instagram accs, fill the profiles out. Have them focus on 2 different hashtags in your niche, Follow 150 a day, the best is the commenting on the hashtag. We are doing about 100 comments per account per day (to not get limited) and we just say something like "Contact us to be an ambassador (or colab)..... we offer a,b,c and d benefits blah blah"

Is working well for us. Just started this method less than a week ago and am getting 10 - 30 quality ShareASale sign ups daily.
 
Shareasale is pretty good i work with several big brands from there.

But it is the same as selling, go where people who would influence buyers are and ask them.

I also have a publishing business and have been approached by people via amazon.
 
A lot of affiliates tend to avoid ShareASale, and so am I. I used to promote some brands from ShareASale but I gave up and instead I gave the option for the brands to place an ad on one of my niche specific websites
most affiliates on ShareASale are beginners and they will abandon it extremely quickly
my reasons for ditching them as an affiliate were
conversion sucked, you cant compete with amazons conversion rate
no retargeting
if a product is out of stock the affiliate link just goes to the homepage
affiliate rate fluctuations, basically they tend to lower the commissions once they get a few affiliates than raise it back up once affiliates start ditching them
stealing traffic, this is my pet peeve. A lot of brands offer nice commission for affiliates, once you check your affiliate link on mobile you will notice that on top of the site a mobile app for the brand will pop up with a coupon or some offer. When somebody clicks on the affiliate link from a mobile device, goes to the site, and downloads the app the affiliate is no longer credited, basically cutting the affiliate out, and as most internet traffic is from mobile devices this is a big problem.

We don't do any of that stuff. We retarget. Our conversions are fanstastic. 90 day cookie. And have never changed our rate. In fact, we have only increased rates for top performers

in that case you might want to make your own affiliate section instead of relying on shareasale, and contact some of the top ranking websites
