I'm having trouble finding a reputable SEO service. I'm looking for a service to increase my page rankings, BUT I don't need content because I plan on doing the writing myself. Most of the services I've found seem to be either selling content creation or sketchy PBN links. I have three questions.

1. Do I even need an SEO service, or should I just keep writing articles on my site and let it grow the natural way?

2. If I do need SEO, what type should I use to keep my site clean?

3. Are high authority blog posts on Huffington post etc worth it?

I think you should start with market research, check how much effort the sites you're trying to rank between/above are putting, and by that you should be able to asses if it's something you're willing to do all by yourself or use 3rd-party services (also that should give you an idea of what you should focus on).

1. Do I even need an SEO service, or should I just keep writing articles on my site and let it grow the natural way?
No but your site will grow slower in SERPs, you at least need social signals as well as good content.
Depends on niche and competition too.

2. If I do need SEO, what type should I use to keep my site clean?
Quality over quantity links. Why not build your own PBN?

3. Are high authority blog posts on Huffington post etc worth it?

Weigh up the costs then decide, plus a lot of these are now becoming No--Follow

1. Yeah you have to give quality content to your site and build quality links according to your keyword competition.
Niche relevant links will help you to get good results.

2. Quality links and quality On page methods to make your site clean.

3. High authority posts will give better results though but make sure that is Do-follow links.

1. If your keyword competition is high you will not get a higher ranking by doing On-page SEO only so you need to get SEO service. But for low completion keyword, it will get ranking with ON page SEO. So You can write an article with unique and more informative. More social shares, guest posting that will help to increase your SERP.

2. For your website clean you can get quality backlinks and there is no footprint make your website clean. So try to avoid Footprint.

3.It is worth it to get links from the Huffington post. But the links are do-follow.
Though many of them provide you SEO services, they may vary in price and quality. So you have to dig it out choose the right one among it.

There are great services here, you gotta judge by how long the service has been up and judge by the negative reviews. Read the BST and see what went wrong with the service. The service providers cannot delete posts, unlike some other marketplaces, so negative reviews stick. Read up and see if what went wrong was really wrong or the buyer simply is a prick.

The major thing in writing your own content is if you don't know SEO how are you knowing when and where to hit keywords, Also if you don't know SEO how are you going to do on-site optimization? You either are going to need to learn it or if your looking for a reputable company check their portfolio, ask for references, double check references and then consider buying. I have had lots of clients write their own content we just have to go through it and optimize and change a few things here and there to make it compatible. Most sites like another person said are no follow they may send you traffic but won't hold link value.

If you know how to do proper on-page and off page SEO to your site, then you can further proceed by writing quality and unique content to your site. Promote it on social media to get traffic to your site.

You can also build quality links from authority sites to show its relevancy and authority.

If you're confused in choosing the best service in the marketplace, read the reviews of those services and check out those samples to decide the best.

seo improves the appearance to get ranked ... you can built up a page just posting and depending on the content you will get some long tail kw traffic with the time .... but it takes time.
and to rank for more difficult kw is impossible without links.

Content is still the great SEO....3 things you just need to do...
1. Create quality post
2. Promote your content
3. Build your backlinks

If you want to know more of these, you can visit my site and find "how to rank higher on google search..."

1. Typically yes

2. I would not use services offering "Link packages", instead create your own blue print and buy specific services that satisifes that blue print.

3. Yes

1. Do I even need an SEO service, or should I just keep writing articles on my site and let it grow the natural way?

That will depend on how competitive your niche is and what keywords are trying to rank. in 99% cases, unless you know the seo game insider out, you would want to invest in a SEO service that delivers the goods.

2. If I do need SEO, what type should I use to keep my site clean?

Focus on Whitehat SEO services that know how to build handmade and natural links. They should also know what shady practices in SEO you should avoid. We're talking about services that don't value your business for money alone. I don't recommend PBN to anyone, and you are no exception. It's on Googles radar for all I can tell you.

3. Are high authority blog posts on Huffington post etc worth it?[/QUOTE]

If you have the budget, yes. SEO-wise you can only get benefitted with do-follow links ( and there are a LOT of quality sites offering do-follow links) but if branding and PR means anything for your business, which is another factor in driving quality traffic to your website, you can also try to get featured in some authority sites that only offer no-follow links.
