How Do I download embedded/videos that are steaming on a website.

They are not mutube/met@cafe/etc type videos,

these are videos that the website owner hosts on the site,

sorry if its a nub question, I just need a quick solution thanks.:)

Look at the source code..

And get the location of the file..

I guess, it should be flv or swf..

Download!

Like Kamal said, check the souce code. Do an edit find, and enter in ".swf" , and you may have to go through a couple of them until you hit the actual link. Some are just helper objects and settings.

I right click it, and search for the 'swf' format,

but all I get is a link back to macromedia to download the flas player,
theres no download link for the swf file.

But it is a swf file...

any other sugggestions?

IF you are using firefox, you can download downloadhelper(plugin). this is a plugin which can detect any flv file on the page and let you download it. It is really helpful.

can you post the website which you are trying this on. As some of them have little different to prevent this kind of stuff ;)

for example i could say some Pr0n sites for example , if every tim adn tom can DL their vids who the fuck would pay for it ...when they would be all over the net. But not thats not that easy.

You can use DownloadHelper plugin for Firefox or Orbit downloader. I was using Internet Download Manager until my 30 day trial period expired. I tried to uninstall it and delete the reg keys but it still detected a previous installation and won't let me reinstall it. So now I just stick to the 2 I mentioned above.

Go to a website with an embedded video and the DownloadHelper icon (next to the address bar) should start spinning. Just click on it and click on the video's file name and select your download destination and save the file to your HD. The only time I've not been able to get this to work is when the video is streaming from a 3rd party source like Amazon. PM me if you need further details.

hey..i already gave you the link to download the required video..lol

thanks truid, got it working, but Ive goto now convert the flv to avi/mpeg..

I use GOM Player to view flv files. But if you need to convert then use videozilla (I'm using 2.7 and it was free) or AVS video converter (paid version if you don't want their logo on your videos).

dammit, its not working anymore

fucking hell

Anyone know how to download videos streaming from s3dotamazonawsdotcom... ?
