Hey,

There is post regarding the brand i am working on. That facebook needs to be removed because its hurting the client's reputation.

So what's the best possible solution to remove that post from Google search?

Thank you.

Hi! The best option is to first contact the Facebook page admin or report the post to Facebook if it violates their policies. Once it’s removed on Facebook, you can request Google to remove the cached version using the Google Remove Outdated Content tool. That way, it will disappear from search results after it’s taken down.

Changing Facebook settings so search engines can’t link your profile helps prevent future indexing

Start by reporting the Facebook post if it breaks rules like defamation or impersonation. If it is taken down, Google will remove it automatically after reindexing. If not, use Google’s Remove Outdated Content tool or file a legal removal request. You can also publish positive content and build links to push the negative post lower in search results.

You can try submitting a URL removal request in Google Search Console under “Removals.” It’ll hide that Facebook post from search results. You can also report it directly to Facebook if it violates any policy.

Best option is to contact the site owner or use Google’s content removal tool. If that fails, publish stronger branded pages to outrank it reputation SEO works best long-term.

If the Facebook post is damaging your client's reputation, first report it directly on Facebook using the "Find support or report post" option and choose the reason like false information or harassment. After reporting, request its removal through Facebook support. Once deleted or made private, use Google's Remove Outdated Content tool to deindex it quickly. If Facebook doesn't act, consider sending a legal takedown request through their legal page.

It is not possible.

Request Facebook to remove the post, then report it to Google for outdated content removal

To remove the post from search results, simply make it private or delete it, then use Google Search Console's "Removals" feature. It will no longer appear when people search.
