Hello guys, am totally confused, so I have a client who has GRC B2B software website where we sell risk mangaement, compliance managemet, health and safety softwares etc. My problem is am not able to find relevant websites for building backlinks. Like what kind of backlinks to create? tech related sites? cause GRC software websites are mostly directly our comeptitors so can someone please guide me? Can I also create backlinks from those big publications news sites? And can someone give me best example of GRC software website for complete site structure? please don't try to make me down or say how you got clients all these insulting things, am doing great and managed to improve my client rankings much better atleast am working on my client site like my own site not those agencies who in a month just send report of those forum, comment backlinks and on page optimization things which they never do. I really need genuine help, if someone have ever worked on GRC software website that would be even great. Our target audience is Australia. Thanks!

competitors are not the only relevant sites, that is the mistake. for b2b software the relevant pages are the ones your buyers read before they shortlist a vendor. review and comparison sites, g2 and capterra type, the compliance standards bodies and their partner directories, integration pages of the tools your product connects to, a couple of podcasts in the risk space. none of those compete with you and all of them link out. big news sites only if you have an actual story. and whatever gets placed, i send a few links at those pages afterwards so they stay indexed, otherwise you pay for links on pages google forgets in a year

Dont narrow down the backlink research only to GRC sites.. risk, compliance, governance, workplace safety, b2b SaaS, and Australian companies websites may be also useful. Its great to use the big media outlets but the priority should be given to the relevance

did you write comment using ai? because risk, compliance, governance is just full form of "GRC" and safefty is itself part of it niche, that's why I asked.

Competitors are not really your link targets, think about who your buyers read instead. For Australia that is compliance and WHS bodies, risk and audit associations, safety and HR publications, accounting or legal blogs that cover compliance changes, and podcasts or webinars in that space. Software directories like G2 and Capterra are also normal for B2B SaaS.

Big news sites are possible but only through a real angle, like original data or a survey about compliance in Australian companies, not by paying for placement. For site structure I would just look at who ranks top 3 in Google AU for your main keywords and map how they build their solution and industry pages. Also run those competitors through Ahrefs or Semrush and see who links to them, a lot of those links will be from non competitor sites you can go after too.

In regards to GRC i would pursues blogs about risk nd compliance, saas directory links and industry specific publications in Australia, not competitor links as links from where ur customers hangs out.
