How do I change....

How do I change the main website that is connected to my hosting? Can I change it. I signed up with Hostgator with a certain domain and I want to make a different domain my main hosting domain... Hopefully someone can tell me how to do this, if it makes sense.

What is the significance of changing the main domain vs. adding an addon domain in your cpanel?

I am trying to use one of my ad on domains to host a picture. So for example I want my domain to display a picture. mysite . com / mypicture.jpg But when I do this to an ad on domain it forwards me directly to the domain that I have attached to my hosting... I cant figure out how to get my ad on domain to host the picture. I could be doing something wrong. Maybe I am loading my picture to the wrong place? I am going to public html and then the domain I am trying to load it to then just loading it in that folder... Any help would be awesome.

Yes this is very simple. I use filezilla for almost everything, but yeah go into public html, and upload the pic into folder of your addon domain. That's all it takes.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you wanting to change the domain name that your hosting provider is hosting? If so, just email them or open a support ticket and tell them; they'll usually do it for you no problem. If I misunderstood your question let me know.

This is what I am doing. When I try to go to area I uploaded my picture. mydomain . com / mypicture.jpg it takes me right to the domain that is attached to my hosting.

I am going to send them an email so I can switch which domain my hosting is on. Unless somone knows what I am doing wrong?
