How do I buy SEO services?

I've had a site for a few months now and trying to take things to the next level in terms of SEO as I've never really had any luck with getting traffic from search engines.

I found some sort of manual high quality blog commenting service here on BHW and I'm thinking of trying it out. But I'm not sure what I should be providing for details to the service provider.

I'm being asked for the URL and anchor text... any suggestions what I should put? Like would I just put the homepage URL? or one of my (maybe 20 or 30 blog posts)? And I don't know what I should put for the anchor text. Would you guys have any suggestions here?

Have you tried putting in your URL and chosen anchors?

If you're asking this question then you aren't ready to be purchasing SEO packages of BHW.

That's the thing.. Maybe I'm not ready to purchase SEO packages. But being a nooby when it comes to SEO usually gets the response "why not pay someone to do it for you then?". And then that's where I get stuck here :P

I do know what my own URL is and could set something for the anchor text. But I just don't know what URL I should be using. Like do I have to go and purchase an SEO package for each one of my webpages on my site? Or would I just use my homepage URL? And is the anchor text just whatever I am focusing on for my keywords? I heard it has to have diversity in the anchor text so that worries me. It just confuses me. I can build websites and do lots of programming stuff but can never get anywheres with SEO it se

Anchor is your keywords
 
If you don't know about all these you would not know whether they did a good job for you.

I've paid for services in the past naively thinking that sellers would provide a good service. When there was no results, I did not know whether they did a good job or not because I knew nuts about SEO. If you don't know about SEO you wouldn't know which provider to pick.

Here is my suggestion:
- Learn about SEO as much as you can
- Only buy services that you can do yourself but would rather outsource to save time

Spending money like what you are doing now will only get you nowhere unless you are really lucky.

I'm glad you took my sarcasm well. My point is, buying an SEO package can be bad for your website. I suggest you do a bit more reading until you're confident in answering the question for yourself.

This. URL is the link you're trying to rank. Mostly, it will be the homepage, but it's not necessary.
Anchors text will be your keywords you're trying to rank for. Read about keyword diversity and its importance, or you might get penalized.
 
make sure you understand SEO before you dive into buying packages. I'm an online business owner and when I first started i bought random packages without knowing anything about seo, it resulted in my site being penalized. Learn slowly - otherwise you'll just get wiped and waste all your money
 
Go for contextual links on high pr pages. Blog comments are best used for higher tiers.
 
The url you should give them depends on the page targeting the keyword you want to rank for. If the homepage is optimised for your target keyword, give them the homepage.

As for the anchor text, have you read anything about anchor text diversity? If not search for "how to naturally vary anchor text".

After reading an article on that topic, you'll know what anchor text(s) you should give them. I could have listed examples of them here for you, but I figured it'd be best if I let you learn it yourself.
 
Blog commenting can be used only as a tier 2 or tier 3. It is not safe that your are linking directly to your site these days Google is very keen in punishing sites.


Regarding keyword:-


Branded Anchor Text: 50%
Google wants you to create a brand.




Naked Links: 25%
naked links are a very safe and a very natural anchor text. A bulk of your backlinks should be using naked links.




Generic Anchors: 20%
Generic anchors keep your link profile looking "natural" and are a necessity. Try not to use "click here" for every single one.




LSI & exact match keyword: 5%
