How do I block someone who spam my page everyday?

Hello,

There someone who spam my page everyday in order to advertise his own Facebook page.
He's using a like bot to increase the amount of the likes to his post so in that way it will be shown in the 'Top Comments'
He's creating a new Facebook page with the same name of my page, same cover photo and same profile picture and then write everyone "We are moving to a new page: @hispage"

I ban him and report his post all the time, but he just start a new page and does that over and over again.

I tried to use the "Page Moderation" feature to block the name of his page, but it's not working for page links.


I have no idea how to get rid of him. It's becoming really annoying.
I sent Facebook several message regarding this issue but they are ignoring me.

Do you guys have any ideas for me ?

LOL. This method was shared here just a few days ago. There is a good chance that the person spamming your page, is on this forum and reading your post.
 
no choice but to wait for facebook to step in, its a clever method.
 
i got the same problem sometime ago but not in a page but an account intead.

Strange thing is the guy was posting on every status i had.....the status were set to private only me
 
You would need to wait until FB does smth about it and if i still does not work, call FB assistance, they are obliged to help you since you are harassed by this person. Good luck!
 
I can see how that can be annoying. I guess just keep banning him until he just gets tired and gives up.
 
I actually had this last week. I went in a full on war with this guy. I kept banning and reporting him to facebook until the THIRD day he stopped.
 
I banned this guy more than 50 times and he keeps starting a new page and post on my page. He's truly lifeless.

Jeez, that guy's so persistent! I have 2 ideas that may or may not work:

  1. Unpublish the page (do not delete). You can do this to trick the guy into think your page no longer exists. Wait a day and then reactivate it and he should leave you alone.
  2. Block generic words using Page Moderation. This can backfire on you if your page receives a lot of comments, but it's worth a shot if you don't receive many comments.

But this guy's still so persistent. I don't think anybody can stop him for spamming. That can be really annoying.

What about the setting to approve any posts first to your page?? Am I missing something? That's happened to me and I do not allow anyone to post to my page. I have to review. They even try to use some kind of code, still blocked from doing anything Unless I approve.

Also Facebooks pretty good about taking care of that it Just takes time.

You're right, you probably can't stop him from spamming, but you can probably get him to divert his attention elsewhere (this is why I suggested option 1).

I was about to suggest this as well, but the OP mentioned that Facebook isn't doing anything about it (the spammer is also change the page URL each time).

This is a good suggestion if the OP doesn't receive many comments, but the OP may not like or be able to keep up with the extra work. In my experience, Facebook is lax about taking down offensive material (spam, hate speeches, gore videos that people are profiting off of, etcetera).
