I've already tried backup buddy, no luck. Anybody has experience using Godaddy? Everything has been work on other host companies except this one.

Toocoo82, This is a good question.

Have you tried doing what blogeline suggests on their site?

"Sign into Go Daddy

Go to My Acct
Then click Hosting (in the left)
Click Launch
In the green toolbar hover over Databases and click My SQL
On the far right click the pencil (edit)
On the top left of toolbar click Backup
Then click OK
Confirm OK

It will take some time for your site backup to complete, depending on the size of your blog. Notice that when it's backing up it will say "pending backup" - refresh the page until it says "backup complete".

Once you have done that, go in and update WP, the Theme or Plugin (whatever update is available at that time). Backing Up for plugins isn't really as important as Backing Up for an upgrade for your Theme and/or WP. I would do this every month or every other to be on the safe side."

Hope this is helpful!

Yeah, I was looking for a solution that is pretty simple, zips the entire installation, site, and database, etc like backup buddy. Is this the best method?

Ideally, you want something that works, either what is listed above will work or find a plugin for backups in your wordpress plugins area. There are a few that are very easy to use and send the files to you in whatever time-frames you want. Shawn

Try

Wordpress database backup by Austin Matzko Or

Better WP Security by Bit51 which is an excellent bit of security as well as backing up your site.

Well I'm looking for something that can take of everything. So If I use this database backup, do I still have to copy the

wp-contents
wp-admin
etc

to a folder on my computer?

Have you tried the Xcloner plugin? I've used it to restore/move my site. Never failed me; not once.

How does it work? Does it completely backup everything, and will it work with GoDaddy?

I personally use Wordpress Backup to dropbox it has premium versions but i don't need that functionality for my site.
I am not on Godaddy but it does backup both db and files and allows you to select the directories you want backed up

I just authorized it to my db account, now I went to backup, and it starting.

How long will it take usually? This site is 1.6 gigs.

This is insane. Not working. Anyone good with GoDaddy and Wordpress can send me a PM, or skype, I've spent all day working on it.
