Looking for safe practices to avoid getting shadowbanned on Reddit while posting or engaging, especially when promoting content or using multiple accounts.

Just make sure you follow each subreddit’s rules, avoid spamming links or promoting too soon. You should participate in conversations genuinely as well , and build up some post and comment history before sharing your own content. Authentic engagement is appreciated by Reddit, so if you're behaving like a regular user and not some spambot trying to push something, you're less likely to be shadowbanned.

Use real phone + gmail and for PC browser there are some articles talking about creating good cookies so that the account can work well

I’ve found mixing post/comment karma works better than farming just one.

You read the 10,000 threads on BHW talking about the same topic

Anti-detect browsers
Good residential proxies
Dont spam

I’ll start engaging more genuinely and hold off on posting links until I build some history.

If you going to manage multiple accounts use antidetect browsers and 4-5g mobile rotation proxy. Then you can slowly warm-up by commenting and surfing. There is a lot of topics about warm-up process. You can even make your own.

Use residential high quality proxies and don't post links for the start and age the account

If you can get 4g sim, verify the account and use 4g connection to connect to account. This should work well .

Make sure to use anti-detect browsers, reliable proxies, and focus on sharing valuable content, not just spammy posts.

It's best to space out your posts and interactions. When managing multiple accounts, using unique IP addresses for each account can help prevent issues.

Avoid posting links in all your comments
There are some profiles that 100% of their comments have links, it's shady

Don’t Post Spam or Self-Promote Excessively

Reddit is very sensitive to over-promotion, especially for new accounts.
  • Follow the 1:9 rule: For every self-promotional post, contribute at least 9 genuine, non-promotional ones.
  • Avoid dropping links too frequently, especially to the same site.

Easy, to avoid a Reddit shadowban, don’t spam, follow subreddit rules, engage genuinely, avoid vote manipulation, and build karma slowly. Also, skip banned domains and link shorteners, you're welcome

To Avoid:
Posting affiliate links or shortened URLs
Linking to the same domain too often
Cross-posting without permission
Using link shorteners
Promoting in highly moderated subs (e.g., r/technology, r/science) without meeting karma and post history standards

If you can't use link shorteners and your url is flagged, then what?
