How do Content Curated Channels avoid Content ID Claims?

Does anyone know how to avoid content Id claims when making original content curated videos (Voice over using other peoples clips)?

All I can think of atm is overlaying white noise for audio and changing the videos by mirror or zoom.

I've seen people make the original video a little square inside the main video, I've seen them using a mirror, a commentary, doing a little edit or adding stuff over it.
