I know cashback websites make money with affiliate commission or side deals (set with the merchant). But, how are the actual sales tracked?
Do they use a PHP script that follows the individual? From clicking a link > viewing a product > purchasing the product > getting receipt = cashback appears in their account?
If someone visits the site (via the affiliate link) but buys a different product... Will the person get cashback? even though it was a different product? We all know the website owner will get commission...
