How Do Agencies Manage Multiple Website Projects Efficiently?

Wait what do you mean? Web site development? If so, assume that if they started from scratch nothing, zero. Thats almost never true. As they borrow parts that can work from older web apps. Or projects.

Ah gotcha. Well i always assumed, some like to tap into management platforms apis. So basically something like Jira but custom?

I am no agency but I manage a decent number of clients. I have two whiteboards. one side of wall full with work related yellow sticky notes. even google keep.
One whiteboard is for monthly work and daily work. one is for yearly resolutions kind.
I remove sticky notes when work is done. Clear daily tasks and monthly tasks.
I connect with my clients through microsoft teams or emails mostly.

And now it's a case of, once you see how effective it can be for managing the projects and clients, you simply can't unsee it or imagine not having a PM tool in place : D
It really helps keep everything moving and is great for planning out projects and tasks in advance for different clients as well
So in terms of agencies, I think it seems like an absolute must have
I have also worked with agencies where everything wasn't managed within a PM tool and most of the time it's usually a one-person agency and I work directly with the owner
