Found this KW. Seems like a golden nugget (to me) but I may be completely wrong!

Google KW tool says the keyword receives 40,000 searches per month. How accurate is KW tool?

Here is the Market Samurai results .. How does the competition look? Will HQ web 2.0's and a few other links rank it?

I doubt anyone will give you a clear answer to that, especially with all those Google dances. The only way for you to find out is to try it yourself.

if you what to be shore try analyse all top 30-50 sometimes that give more info then getting analyse top 10. Look if there are no sits there that have lot of BL relevant to your keyword that are not in top 10. I use that meted my self and it save me lot of time I would waste for such keywords. 4 example I hade keyword that look very easy all top 10 was weal now brand whew almost no links average RD/page in top 10 was 6 but on 2 and 3 page i found sits that have 500 RD whew exactly same anchor I want to rank end they was out site top 10

Sorry but only top 10 matters. If I can beat the sites on page 1, what's beyond that is irrelevant.

Anyway as far your keyword, if you're decent at SEO you should be able to crack this.
 
Assuming none of the top 10 have hidden PBN links or similar, top 3 isn't a hard task :)
 
Looks easy to me, also check if any of those sites have links via 301 redirect.

looks pretty easy to me... with good and quality content, even with few social bookmarks you can rank. But you didn't mention if you have EMD, because I think if you do, for this kind of competition it wouldn't have to be a problem

From the look of it, it does looks like an easy to rank KW.
 
U did not mention your keyword so it is difficuilt what will be nature of competion realted to your kw.

Not really.

In other niches, I could promote affiliate links (e.g. Laptops that don't overheat) but for this niche, it's not something I can sell, so I would probably monetize with CB or Adsense
 
is this for exact phrase match or broad. makes a huge difference
 
Only way to find this out is by testing it out. Stop posting here and start building!
