I was thinking of starting a subreddit, i have plenty of content, but was wondering how difficult it is to get subscribers?

Post content from my website.

Well I would say it depends on your content. Is it something that people would like to share? Is there already a subreddit that offers similar content? Do you have a customer/audience base that you could use to get the first subscribers on your subreddit? If yes, why should they even subscribe to your subreddit, if they already get your newsletter or follow you on twitter?

Furthermore you should get familiar with Reddit Vote manipulation. If only one of your posts get to the front page the subscribers are going to come from alone. Check the forum for good reddit vote manipulation services.

It is really hard to gain a following. If it is a topic that there is a lot on interest in, chances are there is already a subreddit. If there is little interest, gaining subs will be hard.

I wouldn't invest much effort on that unless you have a very neat idea for a subreddit that would stand on his own. Look at r/askouija for example.
In you just have content post it in related subreddit and buy/do some upvoting.

I tried to start several subreddits.
Only 1 was successful - subreddit of famous model. It has about 10k subscribers. I have do nothing. Others are uploading content and it grows by itself. But I dont know how to monetize it.

Built up a few subreddits in the past one or two did really well and the only reason they did well was no one else was doing it so i was one of the first. I would recommend if you are going to do it build it alongside your site and push traffic to it that way so you can get some subscribers.

It is really easy to build one. You can have your own in just a few clicks but the difficult part is to have redditors to subscribe to your subreddit.

And there are moderating rules.

I have created several subreddit, but it is very difficult to have subscribers, there are many rules. I have already abandoned Reddit, it takes a long time to get something, I do not recommend it, much better instagram or facebook, there are many people and not as geeky as in Reddit, it is very difficult to monetize something there, there are many rules against spam and ban Fast.

It is my experience, today I recommend that you spend time in other social networks. Reddit was viable a few years ago when there was hardly any control or moderators, there are actually many moderators
