hi

this is the thing: I've come up with a business idea that requires to set up a shopify section in a WP site. Basically I want my, to be clients, to monetize their WP sites and offer products from their WP sites that people can buy using shopify.

I'm new to shopify, no idea if its difficult to implement in a WP site, but obviously my issue is money. right now the pandemia has hit me hard, and my resources are scarce to put it mildly, do you think I, who Im not a programmer, could set up shopify sections for my WP clients? eventaully Id hire real professionals, once I receive a bit of money, but until then I'd have to do it myself, but how hard is it? do you know of good tutorials on youtube or elsewhere for a newbie to learn this type of thing?

thanks for any help

That wouldn’t be a smart thing to do. If you’re using WordPress, you should set up stores with WooCommerce.

so shopify isnt for wordpress? then how difficult would be to set up woocomerce?

No. Not at all.

Extremely easy. WooCommerce is actually a WordPress plugin and it’s free. It can be very powerful with extensions but some of them are paid. You can write your own if you know your way around PHP though. However if you don’t know PHP or Wordpress please do not try to write extensions since we are talking about stores where good, safe & secure code is a priority.

use wordpress and plugins, is easy

WooCommerce and shopify platform not for programer, programer cod their store from scratch.

Easier than posting a video on YouTube.

Not really. That’s one of the biggest mistakes made by junior programmers. It’s much better to use an already built, tried and tested solution so the programmer can actually focus on developing whatever they are selling rather than waisting time and effort reinventing the wheel.

I Know this, and this is what they should do.
But they are like that, they like to have everything under control

You sound like you need Woocommerce and a multivendor solution such as Dokan.

You can find plenty info on woocommerce on YouTube and more info on Dokan here:
