I literally had t0mmy included originally but deleted it because I figured his stuff was too advanced for this guy

I can see why you say that. Most of his methods require a bank roll too.
It's also true, you can't get any simpler than Meathead's sticky thread.

If you want to succeed in IM, you're going to have to learn to find things out for yourself.
Learn that early bro, it will make things easier for you later when you have hundreds of questions that you will have to find answers to.

Start searching on here then - look into different methods and decide what you want to do.
Focus on one method and stick to it. Eventually you will get better and be able to put your own spin on things.
BHW is gold, but you have to do your research and then take action.
