I just want to know how everyone here started making $$$. What methods and areas?
Candy and soda. Cafeteria. Age 8.
I was around 9 or so. I would get a homeless guy buy me a pack of 20 cigarettes and then sell each cigarette for older guys in school. They would be like 12-14. So, bought a pack for lets say $3 which meant that each one was $0.15 . And then sold them for $0.3 each
I still think there is a market for pack of 5's or just 1 single cigarette.
now thats black hat
u just gave me an idea
get homeless people to fill in my offers!:biggthump
selling pepsi cans for like £1 which cost me £1 for 4 from a cheap out of date shop, and chocalote, made £5 a day or $8 a day roughly
wow these are some nice figures guys! $2 $3 $8... WOW
As I can remember I made a few hundred bucks selling mobile games in school, everyone loves pokemon and tetris.
and it still does
u just reminded me that toys = $$$ thanks!
I was grown into a dirty small city , poor and ugly , first money by my own started to make around 9-10 yrs old , cheating ( stealing even ) drunk peoples money on bars at poker machines ) .... sweet days , then I moved to same scheme when I grow a little with pool games ....
Its quite cool to see that a lot of started like that. Even when we were young we were using creative methods to make money.
Long live the entrepreneurial spirit!!
My first money online was PRIZELIVE £0.95 i was over the moon, i got it in my mum's paypal that was 2 years ago (i'm 13 nearly 14 and then i was 11)
Bought a cheat cartridge for my game boy when i was in school, started selling Pokemon and Rare candy's. Made about £10 a day, that's a lot when your 13! I remember i charged £5 for a Mew, £2 for a Mewtwo, and £1 for 100 rare candy's, then on a weekend id take it Boarders Books where all the pokemon players used to hang out (hard core bunch! lol) and i made a fortune selling pokemon and other stuff on a weekend, i made £50 one Saturday, my parents thought i was selling drugs for a while, they didnt quite understand it.
Then i got my first PC + net connection (took me about a year to save up my paper round money for it) making money got almost.. too easy, and the rest as they say, is history.
Probably stealing or selling stuff at school.
same route as some of the other guys
used to make sandwiches, buy bulk candy, jaffacakes, wagonwheels, soda, etc and sell them at school, same with stationary, pens, notepads
used to do carboot sales with my gran, i had a ton of lego as a kid, and would make cool models with the least amount of bricks and sell em!
this was the start of a long list of money making schemes! LOL
thanks @oldenstylehats and @enrikole for the trip back down memory lane!
yea haha I cant believe that you guys used to sell candy as well. I used to buy candy in bulk and sell it all day along side the same people that were actually selling for my school for the basketball team and other things. Only diff was I was keeping the profit ha.
Well I guess great minds think alike.
Pirating Was downloading games, movies, soft from internet and burning them to CD/DVD and selling.
I sold ciggarettes lol and a lot of them ( got them from the states dirt cheap and native reserves ) made like 150 a day but ended up getting caught at school and losing my whole inventory, stopped sales for a day or two lol
I had a fun one selling cuesticks and bazaars and flea markets lol. Was my first money unfortunately I spent it to buy more expensive cuesticks for my collection, (I had 6 good ones at one point) Used to win in tournaments-- around 5 in 50 I entered. LOL. So it was fun. Man I love pool, too bad I don't play as much anymore.
my first income online was a large amount of 1 cent paid to me in egold(whose password I have forgotten by now). this was my income from a PTC site!!!
i started 10 years ago with an adult site.i uploaded some images and a banner on a free host and forgot all about it.
2 weeks later i find a check in the mail for $35 and within a few weeks i quit my day job and never looked back
