How did you quit your first job?

I’ve been wanting to quit my IRL job for 2-3 years now and just see what happens.

I have a safety net in both funds and lucky to still be at home with parents.

However I am scared to quit for so many reasons the main one being the initial confrontation and subsequent talks around the workplace about it

it is my first proper serious job and is relatively stress free / easy money.

So, how did you quit? Hoping I can pickup some inspiration to do it - if it fails (as in I turn into a zombie sitting at home). I have all my qualifications and licenses to pickup another job in the same field very quickly

It depends on what you want to do now.

If you want to find another job, find a job and then quit. If you want to start doing your own thing, do as much preparation as you can beforehand.

When I quit, I tried being as honest as I could. My bosses always appreciated this. I was nice and to the point, offered to help with anything I could and to train my successor to the best of my ability.

This resulted in three of my former employers becoming my clients after I left.
 
My first job ? It was a programmer position and after several months of sending CV I got hired in one of biggest agencies on my country. After 2 weeks of work I just realised being employed wasn't for me so I told the hr an excuse that I am travelling abroad for a health related issue meanwhile my family I told they fired me. It was 2017 and was only time I lied to someone and still today I regret for saying it.
 
Have never done a job TBH. Though was a part of a few startups in Uni as an intern and most of the time they used to have these fake meetings and stuff which resulted in a lot of time getting wasted. And my issue with that was that creating an illusion of work being done is like the worst thing one can do to their own organization (which the founders were doing).

Needless to say, I quit my internship(s) there by simply dropping them an email. And yes, most of the so called startups in my Uni ended up failing. Only 2 went on to become huge (Ather and Detect Technologies I believe). Both were founded before I joined my college if I am not wrong.
 
Quit first job after 5 months due to being placed in a bad project found a new company offering me twice.

Quit the new company after 3 months just to build my own projects.

There are too many jobs for you to worry if you have a safety net
 
I waited till I completed my 10th year and gave the resignation week after. Taking home a chunk of gratuity was the motivation ahha. Then i took a break for 2 years from corporate. Explored things beyond 8-5 jobs. Found so much time for my family and friends. Met new people. It was so much fun and mind opening. hope that helps
 
Resign and give yourself a year. If you make at least twice the amount you make in your job and enjoyed working, you can carry or you can always go back to your job.
Companies do understand gap years now if you still have the right skills to be employed again.
