How does someone do that?

I've done blasts and barely get anything to stick. What am I doing wrong?

one way you can get a ton of links like that is if you own a directory site or a forum site you can put your link in the footer and over time you will get links back from all those pages that are indexed.

IMO having that many links from one site is not really worth anything.

Also just cause a site has 288k link doesnt mean you cant outrank them with less links.

So what does count then? On page seo, backlinks, exact domain match....what else?

I'm trying to do some keyword research....

My source says 1,509,176 backlinks but it doesn't really mater since it's the number of unique domains you should focus on. In this case 1,896 - which is a lot. But out of all those 1,509,175 backlinks - 970,120 seems to be images. For some reason plenty of blogs include an image linking to them but I'm not sure why. My guess is they buy advertising or offer them money for every sale. Just go through a few backlinks and you will find the answer.
