I don't want to throw this guy under the bus, so I have separated his URL below:

Upon inspection, this site is relatively young, has a DA of 15 and is ranking reasonably well for some competitive keywords. It has generated a very good profile of backlinks for its age, but I don't believe this is the main reason it's doing so well, it is clearly the author page.
The site has around 200 articles, all of which are written by "Dan", however, if you look at the about page I linked in the 2nd line, there is a team of 24 people on this site (which have never written for it), some of which are doctors, architects, etc.
At first, I thought it was a high quality blackhat linkedin fake author profile, and some of them may be, but many of them appear to be real people. One of the doctors featured has legitimate medical publications.
Another example, I checked one linkedin for a home writer, which linked to a legitimate content creation website. It had no mention of working with finer home living, but had many other legit blogs on there.
Why would a successful doctor or architect agree to have their image on a dogshit blackhat blog which is writing articles about the best smartwatches for under $50? or the best bathroom mirrors?
