I stumbled upon this website: course.farm
It looks to me like he's selling stolen courses, yet his payment gateway is stripe. How did he get approved? From what I heard stripe doesn't accept stuff like that. Thanks.

I'm not sure on this exact site (or how strict stripes verification is), but usually what happens is, someone creates a simple site that meets the verification criteria, gets approved then switches it to its real intended purpose.

What he did is first created a genuine looking website related to e commerce, uploaded a few fake product images and applied for stripe payment gateway and then either created new website and integrated stripe in that or change the whole content of the website now using it as this one.

Yeah that would explain it. But doesn't stripe manually check websites again eventually? Like does this guy risk getting banned later on?

Website like stripe and PayPal is integrated hundreds of thousands websites. Also, they have other work too.
That's why they can't check back again until someone reports it.

I don't think they check usually check again as I even see people selling stolen accounts and etc on some sites that have stripe as an option too for quite some time.

They can see, when someone buys, the website url, product info etc is passed to the stripe apia dn those actions trigger reviews. So technically the will find out when the account goes to review

Or if he gets chargebacks, that will flag it too.

Alright, guess I'll keep an eye and see what happens. Thanks!

They do, but it's often random. I've seen accounts be flagged for pretty innocuous stuff after just a week, with others taking months. Considering how easy it is to make a new account I'm sure he doesn't care when his sale volume is probably fairly low.
