How did this e-commerce website achieve a number rank with hardly any backlinks?

This site is ranking on page 1 in Australia in the health niche for a highly competitive keyword. Checking the backlink profile using ahrefs, moz and seospytools the backlink profile looks shitty at best. They are obviously getting their link juice from a PBN that has blocked these backlink scrapers. Can anyone figure out how they have managed to rank so highly? PM me and I will send you the keyword + the website.

U gave the answer to urself. Just hide the backlinks. My website also has only 10-20 backlinks on ahrefs, but actually it is much more.

they just use robots.txt that deny access for bots

Maybe try your luck using Google's search operator ("exacturl.com"). Yes, include quotes in searching and see if any pages are linking to that URL other than what's listed on those backlink checkers. That's your only way to find the hidden PBNs.

I have a friend a with restaurant directory, hes on the top of google search for our local region but he doesn't BLs. he paid thousands in facebook ads.
