How did they add image to their listing?

Look at this

When searching for mail chimp, I saw this google page with an image added to it... How is that possible? Haven't seen anyone talking about it around here, but the CTR must crazy high.. Even higher than with stars (which disappeared from my site today - DAMN!)

Thats probably how Google is going to display links to its apps store for all apps?

This is a Google page so they can do whatever they want, but i do know that you can use your G+ profile picture and link in Google listings so you create a fake G+ account with the picture you desire and follow some steps. I don't have the exact steps but there's some WordPress plugins you can use.

That's the rich snippets thing.
Steps are like, add the website URL to your G+ profile page, add profile link as "by Your Name" with the G+ profile link. I think there's some HTML tag for authorship too, not sure.
But, a new G+ profile for each image would be a pain in the ass, and that may even alarm Google of the misuse of this feature.

I reckon this whole rich snippet thing just isn't going to work, it's so easily gameable.. what happens when the whole first page has 5.0 star ratings. The only ones that would lose out are actual brands who can't create fake reviews..
