How did I get this PR???

Hi, I am a newbie here but from what I have learned yet is that it is very difficult to get a good PR, but I have a site which has a pr of 4 (which I also can't believe, lol). The main part is that I only have 13 backlinks towards it and none of those backlinks have more than the pr of 1 and some of them are not even rated. I built the domain around 1 year back and have just renewed it for 3$ which I guess is not a high price for a pr 4 site. I never updated my site even for once throughout the year. So, how does my site got the pr of 4? I am really very happy about it but still want to know the reason.

I don't want to disclose my domain name as it was registered with .co.cc (yeah I registered it for free), therefore I am just scared to disclose it, but if its safe then I will disclose it. Thanks in advance for the replies.

So, having a PR4 instead of a PR1 made you richer?

nope because when I started a year ago, I didn't know about seo much therefore I just created some random backlinks with my site's name as anchor text , and plus I choose a keyword with very few monthly searches (around 800 per month, lol). Therefore, I got in top 10 results but wasn't able to get much traffic and hence not much money .

Keep the site updated. You may be able to use it to link to your other sites in the furture. Don't dilute it with nonsence though.

I think page rank is more mysterious than the Google algorithm. [FONT=&quot][/FONT]This just doesn't make sense, but it's incredibly cool...for you. I can't get my best sites to rise above a PR1.

It may not make you rich, but you can make some cash from selling front page links on a PR4, or boost your own sites with it. More power to ya.

I have a site with just one link and has a pagerank of 4. So it depends of link age, position and relevance. Moreover, having a good pagerannk does not mean anything. My site with a single backlink does not get anytraffic at all.

To find whether site has a genuine PR do a info: yousite.com on google if you get only your website as the result then the PR is correct. IF the PR is genuine go make some cash ...

I did a search and found only my site in the result, plus I checked by other methods, and found out that my site has a genuine page rank (that's a relief, lol). Now any idea how can I earn money from it? Like I want to make some cash by giving front page links, any idea how I can do it?
