how could i make money from this?

Hello,

So whenever I get stuck with money online, I always go through my MSN contacts that are from bhw, and one guy replied i need to know your situation before i can help and so i told him and thought about it myself also. So my situation is my dad owns a marina, we have 100s and sometimes 1000s of boats go by my house every day (my house is right beside where they leave the marina and to the open water). When they come back in around 5-6 PM, they are usually always drunk and stuff. Me being, 14 and bored in the summer, thought I could some how monetize this. Also, there is a beach that streaches down, starting at my house... actually let me map this out.

There has to be MANY thing you could do in this situation. The gas dock is where people come, park there boat on the side of the channel, gas up there boat for 20 minutes then leave. This is always busy. I want to try avoid affecting my dads business as he is VERY strict about people affecting his business. any questions, just ask. Any suggestions, PLEASE TELL! Thanks!! :D

btw online success isn't working out for my so i am trying to change it up. :D

so you're 14 and you already have a mansion at the beach with a private gas station, what do you want anything more? :P

orr go find a boat affiliate and hand out flyers for equipment your father doesnt carry.

repeate above for scuba
repeate above for tourists

pretty much make a simple landing page, put the link on a flyer and hand it out to everyone. just make sure its not stuff your father sells.

@person2 You forgot the marina, thats the base of our income. I would like my own source of income. :)

@person3 Lemonaid isn't a bad idea. Something similar might work better. Boat affiliate: We have a boat dealership at the back of the marina, my dad has over 40 boats in stock, he is the only dealership for a long distance. Scuba = It's fresh water and Tourists = possibly, we don't get many tourists, mostly just people who come by that keep there boat at our marina (which is over 950 boat slips).
 
This is pretty funny... but really... offer to gut and clean their fish for $$...

do you sell boating accessories? rope, covers, vests, fishing equipment? go find a list of products your father doesnt sell related to boating. i'm sure there's something

funny decals, boatwashes (like a carwash), covers, gloves, helmets, pretty much anything your father doesnt want to stock.

and believe me its impossible to stock everything. tools fishing gear snacks, honestly you could sell lighters pockets knives flashlights and that sort of garbage easily.

and if your catering to people with money, odds are they're golfers too.

if you're really serious why dont you contuct a survey? ask 100 poeple who come though what they'd love to see sold here, what they need i what ur gonna sell most.

Boat wash = good idea.

Boat accessories = covered by my dad
Fishing and other accessories = also covered
Survey = Disturbing customers = trouble for me
 
I just thought of something else. I buy a cheap BBQ (MAYBE parents will buy) and buy hotdogs and pop and then just get ketchup, mustard, relish and a chair and go sit out there and just cook hot dogs put in tin foil and have cold pop in the cooler and sell pop $1.50 and hotdog $1.50 or both for $2.50. See the spot on the map, the land south on my house. There is just empty space, I could setup there and then maybe get a friend, we could start there than if we want to, we can upgrade and have 2 stands, 1 at the turn around and 1 at the peir. Amazing idea. Just do it 2 times a week (saturday and sunday) those are the 2 busiest days. Perfect! Say we sell 30 combos for $2.50, whats that like $75? Then we do it another day, thats $150 for 2 days, thats decent for a 14 year old kid working only a few hours. I could come out again when they come back in. I could just come out at 11 go til 5 or 6. Then pack up and repeat. Lunch would get me $75 and then rest of the day should bring PLENTY more. What do you all think of this?

most people who are at the marina bring food. i know i do when my parents go boating.

plus you need to look mad sanitary and classy/sharp. these are rich ass guys they aren't going to buy a hotdog from a 14 year old they dont trust.

i suggest you offer something in exchange for their email. lead generation. just to have an awesomely targeted list. you'll think of something/ sell the list to someone at $2-3 a pop or more.
 
simple..sell alcohol and cigarettes as they head out. Mark up a premium.

As they're coming back sell them chips, pretzels and really salty foods along with water (likely they'll have drunk up all their water, so they'll buy it off you).

That's smarts.
 
Here's a plan: When they go inside to buy from your dads business, steal their boat and sell them in the black market = $$$$$
