How Cool Is This

Okay, did business with a local company few months ago and got screwed out of about 12,500 in total. Told them they screwed up, tried to resolve the issue amicably and they were like yeah what ever. So here is what I did

Purchased all keyword rich domains I could think of (ie - companynamesucks.com, companyname.net, worstproductproviderinmycity.com, etc) and hosted them on my vps to avoid any hosting related issues.

Then used WP Review site and created my sites, got them indexed and before you know it I was on page 1 on G for each of my targeted keywords. Every day, I would leave a review to keep the content fresh and pinged each time a review was left on each of the sites. Then before you know it, others started leaving reviews and the fresh content along with me spamming my links everywhere resulted in these sites appearing in the top 3 for each keyword and my domain companynamesucks.com became number 1 with the company being number 2.

Today, they called and offered to refund all my money plus cost of domains and hosting for me to remove the sites and release the domains to them.

So I agreed that when I receive a written agreement and the check clears the bank, I will remove the sites and push the domains to another account with the domain name provider.

So we will see how it goes. I just think it is really cool that this has worked and in the end they were kissing my ass instead of keeping their original attitude of what ever!

Thanks everyone. I hate being screwed and cant stand it when people get taken by corporations/companies who think they are above the law or better than the people they are suppose to serve.

@dyander - didn't consider it to much work, I kept thinking that those a**holes had my money and I wanted it back. Aslo, this is how I make my money so I just added those 4 sites in the mix

You should of asked for late fees, and for them to pay the seo you did to those bad review sites. Definitely demand for them to pay full price for the bad review sites and to give your 12.5k back plus late fees.

You can put any demands you want , you should stretch it a little bit and be a dick back to them.

I had seriously thought about this and demanding some ridiculous amount because I know what I did was working and costing them business. If it was not, they would not be worried about the site. However, I felt it right to only get back what I rightfully lost. (does not sound much like a blackhat does it)

Definitely do not care about their business and whether it grows or fails. I care about the $12,500 I lost and as a result of my efforts was refunded (plus domain and hosting costs) via certified check last week

from the time you put the sites up to the time they got to 1st position on G, just about how much time did that take?

Dude that was smart as hell, if you think about it just to start off you made 12.5k that you would not have gotten back, even though it was something you should have already been paid in the first place. You also put those fuckers in their place where they belong, which probably felt better than getting the 12.5k. If I ever get screwed over I know what im doing about it.
