When it comes to social media content, getting conversions can be tricky if you're using free traffic methods to generate visitors to your landing page.

With that said though, my best advice to you is to run an email campaign.

Usually, it works this way.

You share content on social media.

This could be Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook groups, or even your Facebook page.

With every piece of content that you share, you should have a call to action, telling people about some freebie you're giving away.

When they click on a link to your freebie or they send an email and they get an autoresponse back, they are given a link, or they are taken to a page where they can trade their email address for the premium you are giving out.

This is how you build a mailing list.

Now a lot of people screw this up because they set up the system in such a way that the persons signing up for the mailing lists have absolutely zero intention of reading the updates that you send them.

How come?

Well, you conditioned them to focus so much on getting the freebie.

All the value is packed into the freebie that, in their minds, whatever email you send them afterward is going to be a waste of time.

So you have to fix your system and messaging in such a way that you are actually selling the list.

The freebie is just an add-on.

It's important and it definitely adds value, but it's just an add-on.

It's a teaser, let's say, for the greater benefit that they will get by being a member of your list.

That's how you play the game.

So once you get them on your list and you send updates, pay attention to the emails that actually get a lot of results.

Send more of that type of update.

Get people to your post to get them to engage with your content, and figure out a little bit more about their needs and hot buttons based on how they interact with your content.

Use this information to come up with better-tailored updates using better calls to action.

The reason why I suggest doing things this way is every time you send out an update, that's free marketing.

You don't have to pay for that. (Of course, this depends on what email system you're using. I use free email groups, so my cost is absolutely free. )

You get to figure out your list's preferences when you send out your updates, and then you keep tweaking the quality and the content of your updates until you get the results that you're looking for.

That's how you improve your conversion rates.

It's the list that sells the prospect.

You can do this even for Amazon affiliate products, believe it or not.

But the trick is that you send them informative updates.

You don't keep sending them "buy this blender," buy this, buy that.

That kind of email quickly gets deleted, and people will unsubscribe and, to add insult to injury, even report your email as spam.

Don't do that!

Instead, stick to the message.

The message is simple.

It is the answer to this question: Why did I join this mailing list?

Just stick to the message and you should be fine.

Every click lowers your conversion. Make the sales funnel so it's minimal clicks.

I was impressed this week. First time I used a certain online shop. It was like a tiny form and quick payment, they had me fill the address and everything up later as shipping info. Really good strategy making the sale first then requesting more info later.
