Use curiosity in your thumbnail, it might drive more clicks. Im uploading recently some videos and notice it helps. For instance I have one video with powder herbal ingredients that may make some people wonder, but the picture of a big hamburger on a WL video drives way more people interestingly. Must be some kind of psychological trigger making their brain say "I want that".

Quality content, thumbnail, interactions with your viewers, background music can also improve the retentation of the viewer, share your channel in social media so you can have an extra reach of viewers, you need to be consistent uploading even if you see little improvement believe me, then you will see your viewers and watch time will start increasing.
