Why not try things out yourselves and then learn from that? I know it isn't as convenient as getting information spoonfed to you but still, always best to take this route to familiarize oneself with any given field.

Start by reading beginner guides and following experienced bloggers. Practice regularly and learn from others’ journeys and tips.

You asked on September 28, 2024, and I’m replying in 2025. My tip is to build a personal brand with your blog. Without one, long-term growth is hard. Choose one field and stick to it.

Start by picking one topic you like. Read a few blogs in that niche to see how they write. Open a simple WP site, post your first 10 articles, and focus on learning by doing. Don’t waste months watching tutorials (hehe) ... action teaches faster than any course.

Blogging is a game of knowledge and skills, so it takes time. Follow experts in the field, keep learning, and share your own ideas along the way.

First, you can choose a platform like WordPress or Blogger. These are good for starting a blog. Then you can think about what topics you want to write about. It is important to write about something you are passionate about. Don't worry too much about making mistakes, just start writing and learn as you go along. Good luck with your blogging journey!

Pick a niche you are passionate about (e.g., tech, travel, fitness).

Starting a blog can feel overwhelming, but it’s easier when you have the right tools. First, pick a simple platform like WordPress.com — it’s free and great for beginners.
To make your blog posts look nice, you can use Canva for free graphics and designs. For writing help, Grammarly can catch spelling and grammar mistakes.
Once you start posting, Google Analytics will show you who’s visiting your blog and what they like. And if you want people to find your blog on Google, install the free version of Yoast SEO.
Also, check out free courses on HubSpot Academy or Coursera — they have easy guides on blogging basics.

I am trying to start blogging but I don't know how and where to start.
I'm in the same spot as you.. I got some tips.

I've been using and building wordpress for my websites.

I figured out now Im older when i was making a webshop in wordpress and actually even funnier, my first articles was about Wordpress VS Shopify.

Now I've got an answer. Wordpress is for blogging and shopify for a webshop. Somewhere down the line ofcourse.

So, my first blog is about physical health. I got the exact domainname but in dutch. That's where i started.

Next. I use chatgpt, but I use it to help me. So, I asked chatgpt could u make topics about Physical health?

Imagine Google is using same tactics also! Machine learning to categorise topics etc.

I'm using chatgpt to generate tags.

I use chatgpt to create outlines.

All if I want 2 :) just to help.

In the end u could ask someone how to cook but u also could figure out what kind of cook u want to become? c?

That's something I learned when making music.

Ur searching for the general truth here ! But a experimantalist will create his own and maybe ... much maybe .. hés gonna contribute just like Im doing now so u can get ur general truth about blogging.

Anyways i guess u gotta figure out for yourself what u want to write about. also it's hard in some sense because ur asking it on IM forum and there are people who sole's purpose is writing for a newspaper. :)

Thats how I feel about it.

Now every time I come across a topic I think would be interesting for people to read Il write it down for myself or I make a draft post about it just with the title.
