How do they make this graphs, with continuous numbers going up etc.

Is it in excel some kind of app ?

But what about the info? Are they really going through all the tweets? Imagine youtube subscribers, they have one that's the 'top 10 youtube channels with most subscribers'. how do they get the exact info of subs? and from year? They have socialblade on the description but I can't get that info from there.
