How can i use twitter for site marketing??

Hey guys I've created a twitter account and have added twittercounter. Besides posting new updates can anyone tell me how can I make good use of it? I've no idea how adding friends help or following.

Basically, the general idea is to build a large list of friends (or people you follow) using Hummingbird. Whenever you add someone to your list, they receive an email, which lets them recognize your existence. A good portion of Twitter users will then proceed with following you back, because it's considered good etiquette. It's also recommended to set your profile picture to something considerably sexy, because people will see that, and people gravitate toward sexy. Once someone begins to follow you, they'll see anything you "Tweet" on their home page, which is also good for getting attention.

There's a lot of power in retweets. Once you've gathered a large group of followers, you should post an update with something legitimately interesting. People may like it, and retweet it onto their page. When this happens, the retweeted message contains a link to your profile. If the person who retweeted happens to also have many followers, your popularity is likely to increase.

Continue to build, and build, and build. Using any tools or resources you can find, just keep working on your accounts' followers. Then, once you have gathered a great deal of people, post a link to something that makes you money, and you're bound to obtain profit!

I saw on the sales thread that people are selling program which can create account and add them as friend. What's use of adding fake people?

I'm not sure. I suppose there might be a way to have one of the accounts followed by lots of users, and somehow interweave your accounts so that they all become popular by channeling through the one "viral" account. Without giving it much thought, I don't know how you'd go about doing such a thing, nor do I know if it's possible. *shrugs*
