what should i do to turn 200 usd into 400 usd?
You can't.
This is not enough money to do anything with.
That wouldn't even pay for a good coffee machine. It's insignificant. I couldn't turn $200 into $400. I could use my skills to turn $200 into $400, but it's not the $200 turning into $400, it's just me using my time to earn another $200.
Doubling your money is a LOT, and doubling your money with tiny amounts is ridiculously harder.
In business, money does not make money.
Make only makes money in investing, and it's much lower returns. 10-20% per year on average.
If money made money, you could put money somewhere and it would 100x. But think about the economics of that. It wouldn't work.
Money has no intrinsic value. It's just a token of exchange. It is not the thing making money.
You can facilitate growth by investing, which is why you can get small returns over time on your money. You are facilitating the thing that actually increases money by supplying money when you invest.
Money at its most basic level is just a representation of work done. You could say it's a representation of human time, but we live in an age of machines, so it's more accurate to say "work done". Or a unit of energy.
If I give you 10 kilo Joules of energy, can you double it?
No, of course not.
So why could you double money?
What can you do with that energy? You can use it to fuel something that can produce some sort of output, which will give you something that's of more value. That thing that's of more value could then be exchanged for more 'energy'.
This is money.
Money is the fuel that goes into your machine. It produces output which is more valuable than the sum of its input and you can exchange that output for more energy(money). You can then repeat.
So what actually makes money?
The machine.
The machine at the simplest level can be you. This means it's down to your skills. Increase your skills and you upgrade the machine to produce more valuable output. Think of it like a game. You have a simple machine to start that you can put 1 piece of coal in, and get 1 small chunk of gold, but eventually you can put 1 piece of coal, and get a perfect gold bar.
Eventually the machine expands to be an entire business with marketing, operations, systems, logistics, management. It becomes a much bigger, more complicated machine, but it is ultimately this machine that makes money. Amazon is a really big complicated machine. All they do is get products from A to B, but because the machine is so good at it, it can turn 1 piece of coal into a whole truck of gold.
So, your question shouldn't be "How do I turn $200 into $400". It should be: "What skills do I need to learn in order to make $400 with $200 to help facilitate"
