How can I transfer the database from one blog to another?

I don't want to keep installing the plugins every time I install a blog. After installing a blog, can I make a database switch some how? How can I switch the prefix of the database that I had backuped to the one that the new blog has?

It involves SQL importing. But the easiest way to do this is to use a wordpress backup solution such as BlogZapper.

if you don't mind using the same ip you can go with a wpmu install
took me some time to get a hold of the domain mapping but after that
i found it to be the quickest way to set up a new blog

Use backupbuddy, it is shared in the download section. It can replicate the exact blog in less than a minute..
