How can i takedown an article?

There's an article defaming my client over a fraud case that has come to an end, and my client won the case the court allowed the petition and quashed the FIR against him. However, there's still an article on a news website that is disturbing and affecting my client's reputation. I have tried reaching out to them, but they are not willing to take it down, no matter how much evidence I provide. The article appears as the second search result after my client's LinkedIn profile under 'client's Name city name'.
Is there any black hat method to take it down?

only other option is online reputation management route e.g., rank 10 websites above that result to push it down.
can research "negative seo" but its not talked about much here. with how easy it is to disavow links i can't comment if it's even legitimate method.

ORM is very popular for mugshots niche. mugshot directories are under no obligation to legally down it down even if the victims case is dropped/dismissed. so these victims may decide to hire orm agency. basically make 10+ web 2.0's and personal domains that will be in top 10 serps of their name, pushing the mugshot down.

Well, since the article in question is on a news website with high DA, it seems unlikely that you will have any luch downgrading it with some blackhat methods

But the law is on your side, you can just tell the news website admins that your client can sue them for defamation (which they certainly can). Attracting Google to the issue can also be a way forward, but I suspect it would take more time

Consider pursuing legal action or enhancing positive content to push the negative article down in search results.
