How can I stop smoking???

Good question friends

I tried electronic cigarette but no effects. I want to stop smoking because I'm afraid of sick (in future)
Secondly, I spend money on buying cigarettes every day (why not to do another more important things with these money?). I smoke more than 1 package daily
I am listening your opinions and I'll treat them seriously

Honestly, give electronic cigarettes another try! The first few that I tried were terrible... I got some crappy disposable one from the gas station, and it ruined the experience for me. I decided to try it out again a year later, and I started doing some research. I ended up piecing together my own unit, started doing mods to it, and I'm hooked big time now. I enjoy it much more than traditional smoking, because I feel like it's much more interactive.. a hobby of sorts. Try buying one of the cheap starter kits like the Katana from vapedojo (not affiliated in any way) and give it another shot! You wont regret it my friend :) Shoot me a PM if you have any questions or anything!

I live in NYC. I agree 100% with this statement. At the end of the day, I would be a pack a day smoker but I love $$$ more than temp stress relief.

In your case, I would try patches if you haven't already. It's all mental though, if you want to quit you can.
 
even the nigga on your avi is smoking, i on a personal note think that is only "thinking" that causes me to look for a cigarette, i am not sure its the same for you, but my gf made me stop,

use a GOOD ecig pen with 20-24mg liquid and you will be able to quit. Thats what I did.

Now, I just need to quit the herbals. (the real expense)
 
I really appreciate your post. To be honestly, I bought the most expensive electronic cigarette with a lot of flavors (cola,redbull,pineapple etc) and after 2 months, I threw it because the dependence of nicottine was too big and when I saw my friends, they made me desperate to smoke a real cigarette with real smoke not steam.

E cigarettes are cool, but I believe another VERY good way is to start smoking dokha. Dokha tobacco is a one hitter quitter packed with nicotine and will leave you with a slapintheface headbuzz and not wanting any more nicotine for atleast a few hours. THen, slowlys wean yourself from say 10 dokha hits a day to 9.. then 8... etc. Dokha is a good alternative simply because of the less amount of tobacco that you are goi ng to intqake since it is literally a one-hitter-quitter type of deal. do some resaerch on dokha and see for yourself

After smoking for 29 years, I tried many, many times to quick a 3 pack a day habit. This was before e-cigarettes, BTW. I would have tried those, too. Anyway, what worked for me was to get a prescription for Wellbutrin. It's an anti-depressant that has a side-effect of reducing your craving/desire for a cigarette. There was a drawback, though. After 3 weeks on Wellbutrin I went a bit nuts. Turns out if you're not depressed, the drug will make you a bit batty. Anyway, doc took me off the drug that day with no harmful effects. Then I had to deal with the jitters and put behavior therapy stuff into action. Because I was already smoke free 3 weeks and really, really, really wanted to quit, I toughed it out for a few months with:

Tootsie Pop suckers
Sunflower seeds
Pumping iron to get rid of the extra energy

I gained some poundage and fat, but it has been worth it.

Try a nicotine replacement product instead of a cigarette. Some types of nicotine replacement therapy, including patches, gums and lozenges, are available over-the-counter. Nicotine nasal spray and the nicotine inhaler are available by prescription, as are the stop-smoking medications bupropion (Zyban) and varenicline (Chantix).

Just stop. I never understood the concept of addiction - lot of people would say I'm an alcoholic but I'm not, I'm just a fuckup (quote). Really the only thing you need is a power of will, and it's not that hard to just not do something.

One thing you need to "replace" with something is your ritual. Chewing a gum and tearing a piece of paper to shitload of little confetti size pieces helps. And some antidepressants to calm you down in the acute stage. But that's all optional.
 
I used to smoke around a pack every 2 days. The nicotine patches don't work IMO. I got into vaping. Like...an electonic cigarette that utilizes juices and flavors. I'm not going to lie, I still crave cigs now and then but I no longer smoke a pack every 2 days, it's more of like a pack every 2 weeks.

But I think it's banned in some places.
 
It's so hard ... with the electronic cigarette i smoked a lot, nonstop. Every 5 mins like a drug.

Get the ebook allen carr easyway (just search on google you can get it for free), it helped me quit for about 6 months until I made the mistake of smoking just one more, and now I'm smoking again. Maybe you will last more than 6 months though, give it a try!
