I sold one of my website over WebsiteBroker so I suggest you to try that website. They allow you to place your website sale on their website but they don't do anything else. So if you looking for someone between you and buyer go with Flippa.

you can try to sell ur website at WF section, it can be a very good place to sell them.

I think, flippa's value has more to do with its userbase of buyers rather than "protection". The protection part is easy. You can just do the transaction via escrow.
