How can I rank my Wordpress Site?

Hello,
how are you? Everthing is fine? That's great. Maybe you can help me with my little "Problem".
I build my first Wordpress Site. It is a Download Archive where I upload Software. At the moment I have about 6 Articles on my Website and all of them are indexed by Google. But when I search for my Keyword for that I SEO my Article I can't find my own Website there not even on the 10th Page on Google.
Now I want to rank my Website for Google, of course. At the moment I don't know how to do that I hope that you can help me. I heard that I need Backlinks. Is that all? Just SEO my Site and Backlink my Site?

How can I find backlinks for my Site and do I only need to backlink my Website (http://mydomain.com/) or do I have to backlink every single undersite there (http://mydomain.com/site1 , http://mydomain.com/site2 , 3,4,5,6,....)?

First you have to focus on On Page SEO , keyword research (which keywords you want to rank your site)

once you decided that things then plan content posting accordingly that on site..


once approx 2-3 months of sites and 15-20 article then start off page SEO (Link Building)

you have to check it out and which link building stretegy work for you ..

You have only 6 articles on your site. Buying backlinks is a waste till you have some traffic from social signals, and more content.
Then once you have a bit of traffic, few visits per week, then build backlinks from the bhw marketplace.
