How can i rank a Video aggregator website?

I have a website which mostly aggregate videos in my niche from youtube , daily motion, vimeo , etc..

not getting any love from google right now.

What are some strategies i can do to bring in more traffic? right now the videos on the site are accompanied by theiur original descriptions posted from youtube, is it safe to edit these descriptions and add another version of the text?

similar websites like https://worldstarhiphop.com.com/ and movie sites seem to get alot of daily views from videos om their site
