How can I rank a redirect domain?

I have a website I use to redirect to another one. The domain I am using to redirect doesn't rank within Google, if you search for the exact domain nothing comes up.

What is the best way to have this domain rank within Google if the domain name is searched? Perhaps the redirect domain should become and landing page instead?

It takes some time, (maybe 6 or 12 months but I'm sure it's not spontaneous) to pass the link juice completely, and also depends on the SEO health of the domain you redirected in the first place.

Better build quality niche-relevant links. And how about some good PBNs if you have some budget, I don't know how tough your niche. You have to be careful with cheap, useless PBNs. They burn sites quickly while the good ones will fly your site to the moon.

If it's a local biz, setup GMB, boost reviews on it and make it look super legit. This can work wonders for a local ecommerce site.

You have to build links to the site again and have to wait for some time to get the improved results

Each time you build backlinks to the site check the indexed links so you can analyze the results and frequently submit sitemap to your site

If you not done complete re-direct you need to wait for some time and try to add few links that are relevant to your niche and check with ranking, I hope you will get back the ranking soon.
