Hii.
Im from Brazil and i want rank a website in harder niche!
Online web games, its hard i all world.
Keyword: jogos online gratis
Searchs per month: 2.400.000

wich its the best way? Start with simple and free backlinks an than star to do HighPR links?

Your question shows that you're not ready to compete in a competitive niche. It takes a lot more than a few backlinks.
 
Start ranking 4 word phrases above page#1 above the fold, then 3 words, then 2 etc... Just a hint.

Dont spend your hard earned money in this niche.

I have started to study with other niche. Not so hard.
now i have 2 keyword at first in BING and Yahoo, and at 24 in Google.

Google ranking its not easy, but i want win!
 
Keep reading the seo threads dude and when you understand how thing works you will find a way by yourself :)
 
You can create blog network, buy high PR links and create web 2.0. But it's very difficult niche, you have to invest a lot of money.
 
You should learn how to rank a low competition niche first...
You have to make steps one by one.

Yes, now im search other niche. But in brazil google pay realy bad CPC.

I think for high competition niches private high pr blog network + link pyramids based with high pr web 2.0 sites are the way to go.

Maybe you get this info in adwords...
Try one tool to show you the exact search/month.

But... A tip of a Brazilian: Give up this niche, you're competing with giants hw invest millions. eg: UOL.

This. Ideally, you want low competition and high searches with an EXACT MATCH. Not broad. If you try you can find niches with .01 competition and 20k+ searches. Getting a bunch of those would be easier than ranking #1 for "sex" or a similar kw. It might also be FREE to rank for those rather than spending your life savings.

If you want to rank for those extreme competitive keywords, you have to become THE authority for that keyword. Try searching for some. Sex, SEO, weight loss, etc. Those sites at the top have authority and are often trusted sources. To do this, just get links directly from CNN, BBC, Wikipedia, USA.gov, and top websites in your niche. Go ahead, give it a shot.

ok... So I am going to give you the secret everyone is looking for, this secret will be removed after 12 hours:

1. type: Online web games + (your website) 10 times in google.com
2. now you will need to add 10 links/anchors with the keyword "Online web games" for each article making sure you add 10 articles.
3. wait for the links to be indexed and see your rankings improve :)

Yes, but not for an exact match keyword that gets 2,400,000 searches a month. Probably for an exact match keyword that gets 500 searches a month.
