how can I punish my competitors??

Seriously, if you want to get ahead of them get ahead by working harder or smarter than they did.
There is a big difference between "black hat" and "unethical clown" decide which one you are going to be.

As others have stated in this thread, getting to the top by punishing others isn't really a viable way to increase the popularity of your site, what with the extra investment of time and energy needed to accomplish the goal. You should instead concentrate on promoting your own site. Of course, promoting your site to the top spot through legitimate means is also a form of "punishment" for your competitors. So there's that to consider as well.

From what I'm finding using any of the commonly held blackhat techniques will now punish them. also index those links fast and what them sink like lead.

Well, you can punish any competitor in theory but it has very little to do with an off page SEO.
If you had access to his site, you could simply put many times of his keyword in invisible font/small ass font and that would be more than enough to get him sandboxed.
As for what you could do to without touching his site, if his site is new you could run a very clunky xrumer campaign with only that keyword (like million links or so). If the site doesn't have any other normal links without these, google will probably assume the only links being built are by the site owner which should certainly get him punished.
However, if competitor's site is old and has an authority, trying to make some damage for it will have same use as scratching brick wall with your nails. As others said, then you should simply forget about him and just tune your site instead.

Like most guys said, you should stick to your seo campaign if you want to keep the rank. Truth is if they got up there once, they can do it again. If it's making them money, they WILL do it again. So, apart from sticking to SEO, this is what i have tried so anyone else doesn't make the same mistake:
Viagra anchors - Helped for a while, then give HIM a rank +
50k profile links, got him dancing, got back stronger
50k auto approve comments with a lot of spam on them (on the blogs)
dancing but came back the same as before
As for getting him banned from adsense, cpa or something - They will analyse the traffic and get his account back in no time.
So warm up the chair and get back to link building

Punish them with Senukex, scrapebox and AMR. After consecutive blasts their sites will go to the last page of big g for 15 days, although they will appear again but do it again. Rince and repeat.

Why would you want to punish someone? Why not take a look at your competitors, see what they are doing and try to duplicate it? Put out quality stuff that people can use and you will be rewarded. Sounds to me like you are just wasting valuable time pining about what others are doing instead of focusing all your energy on ranking your site(s).
